Note: I think the proposition that Guru spoils the Bhava where its placed can apply to only the specific position of Guru in Dusthana, while attaining Uccha. Guru in Lagna is an excellent placement. If strong it can shield the native from all misfortunes. Guru although protects the native, it does not give a spotless character in Shukra kshetra, as it becomes a dusthana lord.
